John L. Casteel was born in Randolph, Nebraska. He taught speech at the University of Oregon and the Union Theological Seminary in New York. Collection includes diaries describing Casteel's life in Randolph; his teaching career; his daughter, Margaret, and son, John Alden; and other topics.

Collection consists of programs, 1918-1958, regarding the Eugene Gleemen, Lewis and Clark College, First Presbyterian Church and others. John Stark Evans was an organist and choirmaster at the First Presbyterian Church in Portland, Oregon, director of the Lewis and Clark College School of Music, and associate dean of music at the University of Oregon.

Oral history interview with Howard Hobson conducted by Linda S. Dodds from June 28 to July 2, 1982. Hobson was a basketball player and a coach of college football, basketball, and baseball.
