Collection consists of correspondence, minutes and financial reports, 1976-1977; newsletter, 1 volume, 1976, with events and biographies of participating musicians. Sergiu Luca, an acclaimed Israeli violinist, founded Chamber Music Northwest in 1971 after coming to Portland for a music recital.

Recording of a 1970 speech given by Oregon Governor Tom McCall about plans for the Vortex I music festival. McCall delivered the speech at Portland Television Studios, and it was broadcast on KGW-TV.
