Includes material concerning: John Francis Connell, Joseph Sevick, Andrew Smith and other inventors; patents from around the world for photo printing, industrial machinery, washing machines, locks and safes, etc.

Charles Wolf, an inventor, created the first commercial portable chainsaw, the Wolf Electric Drive Link Saw, patented in 1920. Papers consist of a stock certificate book for the Link Saw Company, 1921; typescript testimonial letters from construction contractors in Portland, Oregon, 1921, regarding the efficiency of the Wolf Electric Drive Link Saw; and a brochure for the saw, circa 1919-1920.
