Charles Wolf papers
Charles Wolf, an inventor, created the first commercial portable chainsaw, the Wolf Electric Drive Link Saw, patented in 1920. Papers consist of a stock certificate book for the Link Saw Company, 1921; typescript testimonial letters from construction contractors in Portland, Oregon, 1921, regarding the efficiency of the Wolf Electric Drive Link Saw; and a brochure for the saw, circa 1919-1920.
