Abstract This collection consists of papers of and relating to members of a Japanese American family. The materials date from the early 20th century to 2022, and particularly document the experiences of Mitsuye (Jyoko) Yabe (1897-1985), who immigrated to California from Japan around 1917, and her youngest daughter, Miyuki (Yabe) Yasui (1926-2018).
