Helm family letters
Collection primarily consists of correspondence of and relating to the Helm family, Oregon pioneers, as well as a handwritten family record of births and marriages; incomplete original and typescript copies of an Oregon Pioneer Association questionnaire relating to William Helm and his family; and a typescript photocopy of a document titled "The Crossing of the Plains in 1845 & 46," written by Richard Watson Helm.

Collection includes manuscript letters, 1848-1875, from William Hobson to relatives in England regarding life in Clatsop County, Oregon; and an incomplete manuscript biographical sketch, September 8, 1896, of John Hobson, son of William.
William Hoffman papers
Papers of William Hoffman (1801-1885), a merchant and county official in Jacksonville, Oregon. Materials include account books, correspondence, a handwritten copy of a journal that Hoffman kept on his overland journey from Indiana to Oregon in 1853, and a scrapbook containing clippings relating to conflicts with Native tribes in Oregon and the organization of the Oregon Rangers.

John B. Horner collection
Collection consists of materials by or belonging to John B. Horner that concern Oregon-related historical topics. These include diagrams and documents concerning the Kalapuya mounds; the text of an address Horner delivered to the Oregon Pioneer Association; and a letter from Gertrude Balch Ingalls with a biographical sketch of her brother, Frederic Homer Balch. Horner (1856-1933) taught English and history at Oregon Agricultural College (now Oregon State University).

Kelly family memorabilia and genealogical records
Memorabilia, genealogical materials, and photographs of the Kelly family and related families. The brothers Clinton Kelly (1808-1875), Thomas Kelly (1829-1903), Albert Kelly (1814-1873), and Gilmer Kelly (1820-1890) were early emigrants to Oregon, and all took land donation claims on or near land that would become part of Portland, Oregon.
Elizabeth B. Landis research notes on the Kilchis River Valley
Elizabeth Landis (born 1908) was the granddaughter of pioneer Warren N. Vaughn, who settled in the Kilchis River Valley in 1853, and the great-granddaughter of Jacob S. Elliot, a homesteader of 1862. Collection includes "History of Kilchis River Valley" by Landis, along with maps, photographs and other illustrations, and a bibliography. Also included is a handwritten copy of a song, "Oregon," written by Vaughn, 1880.
