Abstract

Oral history interview with Mark Bocek conducted by Jim Strassmaier on April 21, 1979. Bocek immigrated to the United States from Poland and served in the U.S. Army. He played clarinet in the U.S. Army band while stationed in the Philippines from 1910 to 1912. He lived in Tillamook, Oregon, during the Tillamook Burn.

Oral history interview with Randall Dunn conducted by Greta Smith Wisnewski from September 17, 2018, to February 8, 2019, as part of the U.S. District Court of Oregon Oral History Project. Dunn was a bankruptcy lawyer in Portland, Oregon, and served as a bankruptcy judge on the Oregon Bankruptcy Court from 1998 to 2017. He also played clarinet in the Salem Symphony from 1977 to 1982, and in the Portland Opera orchestra from 1982 to 2008.

Oral history interview with Masumi Timson conducted by Sankar Raman and Giacomo Ranieri on March 19, 2018, for The Immigrant Story. Timson immigrated to the United States from Japan in 1991. She became a professional musician, a koto instructor, and a regular performer with the band with Pink Martini.
