Portland Women's Union photographic collection
Collection consists of 42 color negatives of members of the Portland Women's Union; of the Martha Washington Hotel and the Alexandra Court Hotel in Portland, Oregon; and of the 100th anniversary tea. The Portland Women's Union was founded in 1887 and operated in the Martha Washington Hotel to provide safe housing for single working women.
John G. Sayers postcard collection
Seventy-seven postcards depicting scenes in Oregon. Scenes include mining in Galice; the Oregon Coast; Gold Ray Dam on the Rogue River; Gold Hill; and scenes in Eugene, Grants Pass, Salem, Astoria, Woodburn, Ashland, and Portland. Many of the cards include correspondence.
Shipyard Wood Co. photograph album
Photograph album and several loose photographs depicting building demolition by the Shipyard Wood Company, owned by Fred G. Leary and W. C. Leary. The photographs primarily depict demolition of the Oregon State Capitol in Salem after it was destroyed by fire in 1935. Also depicted is wrecking of various buildings in Portland. In addition to photographs, the album contains newspaper clippings about the company's projects.
