Lorraine Fletcher was a teacher from 1926-1971, primarily in Portland, Oregon, where she worked from 1936-1971. Papers consist of teaching records, 1926-1976, including contracts, evaluations, and transfer records; and documentation of Fletcher's battle with the City of Portland over proposed zoning changes on her Southwest Portland property.
Jurgen A. Hess collection on Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area Act implementation
Reminiscences of landscape architect and planner Jurgen A. Hess (born 1941) about implementation of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area Act, as well as materials relating to opposition to the act, including a document by Lex Loeb. Hess worked for the U.S. Forest Service for more than 30 years, and was the service's planning director for the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.

The Klamath River Compact Commission was created by the 1957 Klamath River Compact as a cooperative relationship between the states of Oregon and California and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.

Papers of Antti Kopra (1890-1968), primarily relating to his attempts to purchase property in Portland, Oregon, during World War II. Kopra was a Finnish American who spent the majority of his adult life in Butte, Montana, but briefly lived in Portland during World War II.
Land Program Recreational Project, Columbia Gorge
Report with appendices, discussing the feasibility and desirability of preserving areas of the Columbia River Gorge for recreational purposes. The report was produced by the Pacific Northwest Regional Planning Commission's Columbia Gorge Committee, chaired by John Yeon (1910-1994). The committee would release another report about conservation of the Gorge, "Columbia River Gorge Conservation and Development," in 1937.
Daniel H. Lownsdale papers
Papers relating to the land claim of Daniel Lownsdale (1803-1862) in Portland, Oregon, including indentures, agreements, court documents, and correspondence. Lownsdale came to Oregon in 1845, established a tannery in what would become Portland, and in 1849 purchased additional land from Francis Pettygrove, some of which would later become the South Park Blocks and the North Park Blocks.
