Litchfield was power planning director for the Northwest Power Planning Council, now known as the Northwest Power and Conservation Council, from 1981 to 1992.

Reverend Mark A. Chamberlin (born 1899) was a Methodist pastor and national officer in the Methodist Federation for Social Action. He hosted the "Religion and Life" program on KBOO radio, Portland, from 1971-1977.
