Chatters talks about his research on the effects of climate on human behavior, discusses the archaeological record of Native peoples in the Pacific Northwest, and speaks about the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA).

Oral history interview with Luther S. Cressman conducted by Rick Harmon on July 31, 1987. Cressman, who helped to found of the University of Oregon Department of Anthropology and served as its longtime chair, talks about the background of the Museum of Natural History at the University of Oregon in Eugene, and talks about archaeological digs he participated in.

Collection includes reports, blueprints, field notes, etc. regarding archaeological digs that Paul J. F. Schumacher participated in, including several in Alaska, Fort Clatsop, and Fort Vancouver.
