Financial day book for Koontz & Lame, a general merchandise store in Halsey, Oregon. The book was used to record transactions made in 1886. Koontz & Lame was established by Martin V. Koontz (1827-1911) in 1879. After Koontz's death, his son, Clyde Harry Koontz (1876-1934) managed the firm under the name M. V. Koontz Company.
