The Brooklyn Parent Teacher Association was founded in 1903 as the Brooklyn Mother's Club and sought to promote the welfare of children and youth in the school and in the community. Collection includes minutes, treasurer's reports, newsletters, correspondence, membership directories, publicity materials, historian's reports (1951-1981, incomplete), memorabilia from local, state and national PTA meetings, and a scrapbook.

Collection includes typescript reports and recommendations on urban renewal, marijuana, schools, property tax exemptions and law enforcement.

Diploma issued to Faye Margaret Young from U. S. Grant High School in Portland, Oregon, January 25, 1929, certifying completion of "the College Preparatory Course of Study."
