Abstract
William Foster Dalton (1874-1955) was a Yorkshireman who began sailing in 1889. His travels took him to Seattle, Tacoma, San Francisco, and Oregon. Collection includes typescript letter from Phyllis Hester, Dalton's daughter, offering Dalton's autobiography to "Country Life," a British gardening and country living magazine; a manuscript summary of the autobiography by Kenneth Holmes; and microfilm of a manuscript book, "Wanderer's Life: an Autobiography," by Dalton.
