Abstract

Jay Bowerman (1876-1957) was a Republican attorney, Oregon state representative for Gilliam County, and acting governor of Oregon, 1910-1911. Papers include correspondence regarding his activities in support of Republican candidates, his law practice and family; correspondence and research notes for a proposed history of eastern Oregon bench and bar; newspaper clippings and political ephemera regarding campaigns; and a scrapbook regarding the 1909 Oregon Legislature.

Robert Sylvester Farrell (1906-1947) was a Republican state representative, 1935-1942, and Oregon Secretary of State, 1943-1947. Abstract Collection consists of materials relating to Grace Olivier Peck (1898-1979), her political career, and other activities, as well as some papers relating to other members of her family.
