Thomas Nelson Strong papers

Swedish Aid Society records
The Swedish Aid Society was an organization established in 1893 to provide financial assistance to Swedish immigrant members during illnesses and to help defray expenses of members' funerals. It was legally dissolved in 1962. Collection includes constitution; correspondence; member lists; treasurer reports; certificate of dissolution; minute book with most entries in Swedish; and account books.
Swedish Roots in Oregon collection

Papers include correspondence between Charles Swigert and Celia Swigert, as well as other correspondents; business papers of the City and Suburban Railroad Co., the Willamette-Ersted Co., Ross Island Sand & Gravel Co., and others.
Paul S. Takata letters to Helen C. and Ralph L. Scott
Letters from Paul S. Takata to Helen C. Scott (1880-1968) and her husband, Ralph L. Scott (1881-1962). Takata immigrated to the United States from Japan and worked at the Scotts' floral business in Portland, Oregon, before being called back to Japan for military service in 1914. The letters postdate Takata's time in the U.S.

Correspondence of the Tarbell and Brown families of Yankton, Oregon and Aroostook County, Maine. The bulk of the letters are from family members in Oregon, particularly Alice Tarbell Brown, Charles and Nancy Tarbell, and Lawrence Tarbell, to Everett and Anna Tarbell in Maine. The collection also includes research materials relating to Yankton and St. Helens, Oregon, and to Yankton Church.
