Ernest Haycox papers
Ernest Haycox (1899-1950) was a novelist and short story writer born in Portland, Oregon. Collection includes correspondence, 1930-1964, mostly to Arthur B. Epperson, regarding publishing, personal matters, and a proposed series of articles on Haycox and other Oregon western writers. Also included is a typescript list by Jill Marie Haycox, wife of Ernest Haycox, circa 1964, of his writing record.

Shaver, while attempting to apprehend Frank Smith, the suspected murderer of George Hanlon, an Oregon City nightwatchman. Collection consists of obituaries, eulogies, and letters of condolence to Henderson's wife, Minnie Henderson.
