Berhanu v. Metzger trial transcript
Trial transcript from the 1990 civil case of Berhanu v. Metzger in Multnomah County Court. Engedaw Berhanu sued Tom and John Metzger, leaders of the White Aryan Resistance, for the wongful death of his son Mulugeta Seraw, who had been fatally beaten by members of the Metzger's organization.
W. W. Carl papers
Papers of W. W. Carl (1869-1938), a carpenter and farmer who lived in the area of Carlton, Oregon. The bulk of the papers consists of diaries that Carl kept from 1897 to 1905. Other papers include information about materials used for buildings he helped to construct; descriptions of land that his mother, Mary J. Carl, willed to him; and transcriptions of his diary entries, made by his great-grandson, John A. Beutler.

Partial typescript transcript of an article by Frona Eunice Wait that was published in the Sunday Oregonian newspaper on May 25, 1890. The transcript itself is undated, omits some portions of the source article, and includes misspellings and places where words have been struck out. The transcript and source article list some of the people who attended the ball and describe the decorations; scenes of conversation and dancing; and the gowns worn by a number of the women who attended.
Ann Stahl collection of Jared Fox travel diary materials
A handwritten transcript of a portion of the travel diary that Jared Fox kept while emigrating to and living in the Oregon Territory, and documentation concerning the transcript's authorship. Jared Fox (1805-1865) emigrated to Oregon in 1852, but left the following year. It is believed that Fox's grandson-in-law, C. C. Bennett (1856-1935), wrote the transcript of Fox's account over a period of time from the late 1870s to the 1920s.
