Clement G. Clarke collection
Clement G. Clarke was pastor of the First Congregational Church, Portland, Oregon, 1923-1928. Before coming to Portland, he had been forced to resign from positions in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Peoria, Illinois. Collection consists of typescript carbon copies of newspaper articles from Minneapolis and Peoria, 1911-1915, regarding Clarke's activities as pastor in those communities, and telegrams to the Oregonian, 1926-1928, regarding Clarke's character.
