Sutherland family papers
Papers of a family of Portland, Oregon, and Port Townsend, Washington, with ancestors in Canada and England. Includes diaries of Roderick Sutherland, including an account of his overland journey to Oregon, 1855; family correspondence; and papers relating to the estate of James Sutherland, who lived from 1778 to 1844 and was associated with the Hudson's Bay Company.

Mack Sutter woodcarving design papers
Papers relating to the woodcarving designs of Harvey "Mack" Sutter (1906-1997), primarily design drawings and photographs of carvings, but also clippings and copies of instructional books about floral relief carving that he published. Sutter lived in Portland, Oregon, from 1958 until his death, and in his retirement carved floral reliefs and taught woodcarving.

Swedish Aid Society records
The Swedish Aid Society was an organization established in 1893 to provide financial assistance to Swedish immigrant members during illnesses and to help defray expenses of members' funerals. It was legally dissolved in 1962. Collection includes constitution; correspondence; member lists; treasurer reports; certificate of dissolution; minute book with most entries in Swedish; and account books.
Swedish Roots in Oregon collection
Materials relating to Scandinavian Americans, and particularly Swedish Americans in Oregon, collected by Ross Fogelquist, founder of the research organization Swedish Roots in Oregon. These materials include records and memorabilia of and relating to Scandinavian American organizations and cultural events, papers of individuals and families from Scandinavian backgrounds, and historical data.
