Oral history interview with Victor D. Bencomo Acevedo conducted by Kristin Cole and Sankar Raman on May 4, 2018, for The Immigrant Story. Acevedo was born in Venezuela, and his family opposed Hugo Chávez's government. He fled Venezuela in 2014, and he applied for asylum in the United States while studying in Portland, Oregon, on a student visa.

Thelma G. Bengs (born 1909) was a nurse and volunteer at the Oregon Historical Society.
