Oral history interview with Vera Katz conducted by Linda S. Dodds from April 28 to May 19, 1982. From 1973 to 1990, Katz served in the Oregon House of Representatives, and she became the first woman speaker of the house in 1985. She then served as Portland mayor from 1993 to 2005.
