Hernandez and his family came to Oregon from Mexico as undocumented immigrants when he was a child. He later became a recipient of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and attended Portland Community College.

Also included are plans for the turbines. Paul Loveridge Heslop (1891-1956) was a mechanical engineer and chief of the Structural and Mechanical Section at the Bonneville Dam.

Reminiscences of landscape architect and planner Jurgen A. Hess (born 1941) about implementation of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area Act, as well as materials relating to opposition to the act, including a document by Lex Loeb. Hess worked for the U.S. Forest Service for more than 30 years, and was the service's planning director for the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.
