Administrative history
The Pacific Bridge Company was established in California in 1869 and opened its Portland office in 1880. It constructed many Portland bridges, including the Morrison, Burnside, Interstate, and Ross Island bridges. It also built the harbor wall and backfilling for the Portland waterfront project, circa 1940.
