Scope and Contents
Mounted poster for Pacific Ballet Theatre's 1984 production of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's ballet The Nutcracker in Portland, Oregon. The poster is autographed by dancers James Canfield, Elena Carter (who signed as Elena Carter Wyatt), Patricia Miller, and Joseph Wyatt, and by Portland Mayor-elect Bud Clark, whose signature includes the title "mayor."

Administrative History
Pacific Ballet Theatre was founded in 1983, debuting in December of that year. In December 1984, the company performed Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's ballet The Nutcracker for five nights at the Portland Civic Auditorium, starring dancers James Canfield, Elena Carter, Patricia Miller, and Joseph Wyatt. Mayor-elect Bud Clark also performed, in the role of the Bürgermeister. In 1989, Pacific Ballet Theatre merged with Ballet Oregon to form Oregon Ballet Theatre.

Mounted poster for Pacific Ballet Theatre's production of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's ballet The Nutcracker, signed by dancers James Canfield, Elena Carter, Patricia Miller, and Joseph Wyatt. The poster is also signed by Bud Clark, who was then mayor-elect of Portland, Oregon. The Pacific Ballet Theatre was founded in Portland in 1983, and in 1989 merged with Ballet Oregon to create Oregon Ballet Theatre. For the 1984 production of The Nutcracker, Bud Clark played the role of the Bürgermeister.
