Scope and Contents

Collection consists of 89 black and white photographs, taken from approximately 1900 to 1935, that depict individuals, groups, residences, and places, many in Oregon. Some prints have handwritten dates and notes identifying people or places, but most images are unidentified. A number of the images that have identifying information depict or relate to George W. Pardey and Ina Pardey. These include images of the Pardeys and a couple identified as Mr. and Mrs. Hinnenkamp, taken at locations including Crater Lake, Oregon, and the Oregon Caves chalet; studio portraits of George W. Pardey; photographs of George and Ina Pardey's home in Blairstown, Iowa; an image described as the apple orchard at the Pardey ranch; and a portrait identified as George A. Pardey on his 80th birthday in 1915, taken in Blairstown. Other images with identifying information include a group portrait of Jack Welsh, Laurence Orth, J. Van Dusen, I. P. Noble, and Tom Morey; a portrait of performers on stage for the Mantle Club Entertainment and Dance at Portland Civic Auditorium in November 1935; two Christian Brothers Business College class photographs, 1914 and 1916; photographs of the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Kruse in San Mateo, California; an image of the grave of Jefferson R. Smith; and landscape scenes in the area of Skagway, Alaska.
