Scope and Contents

The collection consists of records of the Oregon State Broadcasters Association, a trade group of radio and television broadcasters in Oregon, from December 1940 to April 1956. The majority of the records consists of meeting minutes. In addition to the association's activities, these minutes include discussions concerning telecommunications regulations and legislation. Other records in the collection include resolutions that were passed at meetings, financial records, and correspondence.

Administrative History

The Oregon State Broadcasters Association was founded in October 1940. Initially consisting of radio broadcasters, the organization later also included television broadcasters. The organization would later be named the Oregon Association of Broadcasters.
