Scope and Contents

Three hundred thirty-eight black and white photographs and cyanotypes, circa 1895-1956. The collection contains photograph albums and loose prints, some of which were previously contained in photograph albums. The photographs depict members of the Fred Froeschle family and other subjects; family members represidented include Fred Froeschle, Ed Froeschle, Dorothy Froeschle, Thelma Froeschle, Tillie Froeschle, Jacob Froeschle, Mary Froeschle, Eunice Froeschle, and Charlie Froeschle. Other subjects include: steamboats, trains, schools, bridges, logging and lumbering, hunting, and picnics. Locations represented include Cape Horn, Prindle, Beacon Rock, Washougal, and Mt. St. Helens, Washington, as well as the Columbia River Gorge.
