Matted engraving depicting people outside summer and winter dwellings on the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia. Below the image is the text, in French, "Habitation d'été et d'hiver du Kamtchatka"; "Pl. 77" is printed at top right. The engraving, by Robert Bénard, is probably Plate 77 from "Cartes et figures du troisième Voyage de Cook" ("Maps and figures from Cook's Third Voyage") published in 1785.
