Scope and Contents
Personal photograph album of Edward W. Smoron (1915-2012) of Peru, Illinois, who was a member of Civilian Conservation Corps Company No. 1627 and was assigned to a CCC camp at China Flats near Powers, Coos County, Oregon during 1933 and 1935. Includes photographs of personnel, camp life, work crews, barracks, and a trip to Crater Lake. Also includes notes taken by Smoron's stepson, Albert Faull, concerning Smoron's recollections about the photographs and the work he did while part of the CCC.
