Scope and Contents
Three engravings in various sizes, made from the same drawing by John Webber, artist for the third voyage of James Cook. The image, titled "The Inside of a Home in Oonalashka," depicts Native adults and children at various activities inside a dwelling with a thatched roof in Unalaska. One of the three engravings, made by Robert Bénard, is Plate 58 from "Troisième Voyage de Cook," a 1785 French edition of James Cook's "A Voyage to the Pacific Ocean." No engraver is identified on the other two engravings.
