Scope and Contents
Collection includes an account book, also used as a scrapbook, with obituaries and genealogical information, 1899-1947; and miscellaneous documents, 1878-1937, including stock certificates, communion and naturalization certificates for Peter Straub, and bills. Much of this collection is in German; some translations are included.

Biographical note
George Straub and his wife came to the United States from Baden, Germany. The family lived in Portland, Baker, and Hood River, Oregon. Peter Straub and his son, George Peter, worked for Mount Hood Railroad Company.
