Scope and Contents
Collection consists of an autograph album that belonged to Ida Hutton, who was likely the daughter of John P. Hutton of Oregon. An inscription on the fifth page of the album reads: "New Year's gift: 1864 / John P. Hutton." The album contains a mix of dated and undated, signed and unsigned entries. Dated entries range from 1867 to 1888. Signed entries include notes to Ida from family members and friends who identified themselves as an aunt, Eliza; Grand Pa; John T. Hayt; and an aunt, Emily B. Crandall.
