Historical note
The Jacobs-Wilson house, a Swiss chalet-style residence at 6461 SE Thorburn Street in Portland, Oregon, was built in 1913. Frederick A. Jacobs, who operated a real estate development company in Portland, had the house constructed for his mother, Bolina Jacobs. After her death in 1920, the house was purchased by John T. Wilson, and it was occupied by members of the Wilson family until 1968. The house was later owned by Duane Bietz and Eunice Bietz, who donated the images in this collection to the Oregon Historical Society Research Library. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
