Scope and Contents

Collection consists of four black and white photographs, circa 1900-1939, of scenes at parks in California. The photographs show a car on a dirt road among redwoods in Prairie Creek State Park; two unidentified people standing on a dirt road in a stand of redwoods at the Mill Creek-Smith River project (in Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park); an unidentified person leaning against a tree in the forest at Bull Creek Flat (in Humboldt State Park); and a section of coastline in Del Norte Coast State Park. The photos appear to have been removed from album pages or an unidentified exhibit or display, and photocopies of captions for each image are included in the collection. One photo was taken by H. C. Tibbitts and one by Gabriel Moulin, both based in San Francisco, California; the photographers of the other two images are unidentified.
