Scope and Contents

Collection consists of two handwritten record books of the company Campbell & Swigert. The earlier book includes financial transactions from June 1905 to November 1910. Entries in the book include information relating to, among others: First National Bank, S.S. & T. Co., the Pacific Bridge Company, the Oregon Wood Distilling Co., Suburban Real Estate, Sun Dial Ranch, Fairview Farm, A. A. Courtney, Shook Freight, and E. M. Nadal. The second book is only partially filled and includes transactions from November 1910 to March 1911. The bulk of the entries relate to the Oregon Wood Distilling Co. and Shook Freight. In both account books, cross references to other journals or cash books have been written on top of the original entries. The record books referred to in these cross-references are not included in the collection.
