Scope and Contents
Collection consists of 10 black-and-white photographs of the Vanport flood in 1948. Most of the photographs are aerial views showing the floodwaters, damaged and floating buildings, and other debris. Several photographs show people standing amid the wreckage; in one, people in the foreground are looking across the floodwaters at several others standing on the roof of a submerged building in the distance. The photographer and the people in the photographs are unidentified.
