Scope and Contents

Six black and white photographs, circa 1880-1939. The photographs include: an image of buildings at 368 E. 6th St., Portland, Oregon, the site of the house where Alberta D. Howard was born; an 1897 group portrait by C. L. Huntington of the students in Alberta D. Howard's class at the Stephens School in Portland; a 1939 photograph of the Stephens School building; a studio portrait by Hayes & Hayes of two adults and three children, identified as the Houghman family of Portland; a studio portrait by Montee Bros. of Salem, Oregon, of a child identified as Florence Inman; and a portrait by the Towne studio of Portland of an unidentified man in a military uniform. Most of the photographs have handwritten notes on the back identifying places or people in the images.
