Scope and Contents

Collection consists of 267 slides of Timberline Lodge, both black and white and color, circa 1930-1979, for the Oregon Educational and Public Broadcasting film "Doorways to the Past: Timberline Lodge, Legacy of the '30s," produced by Elizabeth Patapoff. Scenes and people depicted include construction; Regional WPA Director E. J. Griffith; dedication of the lodge by President Franklin D. Roosevelt; snow sports; and interior and exterior shots of the lodge, as well as details of artwork, metalwork, woodwork, and furniture. Many slides have handwritten notes.
