Scope and Contents

Collection consists of photographs of members of the related Linder, McQuinn, Wright, and Fredenburg families. There are photographs of John G. Linder as a prisoner of war during World War II and after his release. The other photographs are from album pages; the individuals depicted include: Andred Hines Linder; Nancy Samuels; William Linder; Lillie Linder; Lawrence Linder; John Ferguson Linder; John A. Linder; Sara Maud Linder; William B. Linder; George B. Schroeder; Lizzie May McQuinn; Isabella McQuinn; Alzada McQuinn; Sarah Elizabeth McQuinn; John Anderson McQuinn; Frank Linder; Martha Jane McQuinn; Alexander Hamilton McQuinn; Peter Enyart McQuinn; Mary Ann McQuinn; Margaret Cecelie McQuinn; James Alexander McQuinn; Maxine Elizabeth Fredenburg; Wellington Wright; David Wellington Wright; and John Ferguson Wright. The first folder in the collection contains the originals, while the other three folders contain reprints produced by the Oregon Historical Society Research Library, arranged by family.

Prior to 2022, this collection included only copy prints made by the Oregon Historical Society Research Library; the unprocessed originals were added in November 2022. Images on album pages were photocopied to show their arrangement, and then removed from the album pages for preservation purposes.
