Historical note
The Jasper G. and Minnie Stevens Literary Prize was awarded by the Oregon Historical Society to the winner of a competition for original literary treatments of Oregon history, and included a cash prize and publication of the winning manuscript by the Oregon Historical Society Press. Glen K. Duffie, granddaughter of Jasper Stevens and Minnie Stevens, endowed a fund to create the prize in her grandparents' honor.
