Scope and Contents

Collection consists of materials relating to the Hyster Company. These include an undated list of company employees; photographs of a Hyster plant interior and employees, circa 1935; a pictorial brochure, circa 1940, titled "Doing the job for you"; a report from January 1943, titled "Hyster: people, plants, products"; and a poster with vignettes of company employees, probably from the late 1940s. Other materials are related to accounting machine installation, including a "Proposal for the installation of IBM accounting machine service," February 21, 1947, and company memos relating to the installation, 1947. Also included are a telephone extension list, November 4, 1947; a sales booklet, with specifications of products, late 1940s; and programs for a 15th birthday party, 1944, and a 25th anniversary party, 1955.
