Scope and Contents

Typescript carbon copy of a history of the Pacific Northwest Forest and Range Experiment Station and of the Wind River Forest Experiment Station, 122 pages, circa 1940. Includes photographic prints attached to some pages. Text of the history was written by June H. Wertz, administrative assistant at the Pacific Northwest Forest Experiment Station. Data in the document was compiled by Inga E. Pierce, a station clerk, and publications listed in the document were compiled by Erna Jeppesen, the station's junior assistant librarian. Also included is a letter of transmittal by Thornton T. Munger, chief of the Division of Forest Management Research, dated July 17, 1940, with information about the writing and purpose of the document.
