Sketches of street scene and soldiers on train
Scope and Contents
Two sketches, one on each side of a piece of paperboard, circa 1850-1950, 17.8 x 28.9 cm. One is a pen and ink sketch depicting a street scene of a person standing under the awning of a building as a man walks past on the sidewalk. The other is a crayon sketch depicting sleeping soldiers in a railroad car. The crayon sketch is signed by the artist; the first initial is "W" and the first letter of the surname appears to be "B," but the remainder of the name is illegible.
