Scope and Contents

Collection includes album, 1 volume, 1873-1879, belonging to Agnes Downing and filled with drawings by Alfred Downing, clippings, photographs, and leaves and flowers from around the world (now gone, but some imprints remain). Also in the collection are a pen and ink sketch, "The filbert harvest at Bearfield Farm," 1866, 17 x 33.5 cm; and crayon over lithograph depicting Hawthorne Terrace, Portland Heights, Portland, Oregon, circa 1900, 42.7 x 65.3 cm, with views of the Lewis and Clark Observatory, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood.

Biographical note
