Biographical note
Edward Carl Sammons (1891-1985) was a financial and civic leader in Portland, Oregon. He served as president and chairman of the board of the U.S. National Bank of Oregon. He was also involved with many civic groups, including the Library Association of Portland, the Portland Chamber of Commerce, and the Oregon Historical Society.
