Digitized audio recording of an oral history interview with Corky T. Kawasaki conducted in two sessions, on April 12 and May 10, 1995. Kawasaki discusses his experiences as a Japanese American in the Pacific Northwest, including operating a grocery store in Seattle, Washington, before World War II, being incarcerated by the U.S. government at the Tule Lake and Minidoka camps during the war, and owning the Bush Garden restaurant in Portland, Oregon, after the war. He also discusses the work he did as executive director of the Chicago Resettlers Committee. Includes transcript.
