Digitized item from the Yasui Brothers business records, Mss 2949. The item, written in a pre-World War II Japanese script, is a letter from Masuo Yasui to Renichi Fujimoto, dated 22 July 1930. In the letter Masuo discusses Kei's illness caused by a mosquito bite and his recovery, the progress on the construction of the new Yasui Brothers Mercantile building and plans to relocate everything from the old building before it is torn down, the features and division of space in the new building, and the total cost of the project in the context of the year's recession. The letter has been translated into English and modern Japanese.
