Bogle discusses her life and experiences as a Black woman in 20th-century Portland, Oregon; her work as a journalist in Portland; her work with organizations such as the Boys and Girls Aid Society and Good Samaritan Hospital; and the life and career of her son, Dick Bogle, who was the first Black television broadcaster in Oregon, and served on the Portland City Council.
