In the thirty-eighth interview session, conducted on August 25, 1993, Atiyeh continues to discuss his second term as Oregon governor, with a focus on his final year in office in 1986. He talks about the 1986 election for Oregon governor and discusses the transition to Neil Goldschmidt’s administration. He revisits the topic of attending governors’ conferences.
