In the twenty-ninth interview session, conducted on June 30, 1993, Atiyeh continues to describe a 1984 trip to the Middle East, particularly Syria, and talks about his meeting with Syrian President Hafez al-Assad. He also discusses subsequent trips to Syria in 1985 and 1987.
